Description
Gaps persist in the understanding of social and psychological factors affecting
distress associated to psychotic experiences during pre-psychotic stages and predicting transition to psychosis and future care needs. This qualitative investigation aims to improve our knowledge of the pre-psychotic period immediate to transition to psychosis. Special attention is given to meaning attributed to experiences of social adversity and perceived changes in daily functioning. To achieve this, an interview is being conducted with (young) adults who have experienced their first episode of psychosis within the last 5 years.
